For the Andritz Hydro (AH) rehabilitation project “Kindaruma”, in Kenya, Heavy Engineering (HE) was an important local sub-supplier. HE was involved in manufacturing of new components and rehabilitation of existing components. The scope included material supply, welding, machining, painting and pre-erection works of new components up to sizes of -5,5 m and weights of -3 t.

The rehabilitation works included cleaning, NDT-checks, repairing, material supply, welding, machining and painting up to sizes of -4 m and weights of -10 t.

All the works were done at HE workshop. AH supervising was given whenever needed including final witness tests. HE has executed all different works in best quality and within the foreseen time schedule.
